After inserting disc 1 for the first time the autorun screen came on and I clicked continue. Had to update origin, enter my code, set the language and installation folder....and then I only have the option to Download the game. Fixed it by closing origin completely; making sure it is run in administrator mode; opened origin again; went to 'My Computer', right clicked on Dragon Age disc1, clicked 'open', right clicked on the 'setup' exe and clicked 'open'; followed same instructions of 'continue' then chose lanuage then confirmed the destination drive, and this time it said 'copying' not downloading. Still says it's gonna take over an hour, but hey atleast I don't have to DL 23gigabytes. Hope this helps someone 🙂
