Finally Installed!!!!
This is for those who had the 33% problem, with inserting disk 2. I restarted my computer in safe mode, open run (windows key + r), typed msconfig, enter, click the boot tab, select safe mode and tick networking then click ok and restart when promted. Then I installed as before, by running the origin setup from the disk, closing origin after setup. Then running the AutoRun.exe and inserting the disks as requested without problem. Hooray!
However i experienced another problem with the VC++ packs during the install, but managed to fix that by copying the vcredist_x64.exe from the vc2013 and overiding the same file in the 2012 and 2008 folder paths.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist - This 'vcredist_x64.exe' to overide the following 2 files in these paths
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2012\redist
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2008sp1\redist
Finally I have installed the game and it is running 🙂
I would strongly advise against anyone installing to C:\Program Files (x86)...I'm aware that this is the default directory of the install, but I would strongly advise changing that...especially with Win 8.1...Windows actually doesn't like stuff installed there, believe it or not. I'm surprised the developers of the game did not know this, frankly--a great number of game forums are filled with people having trouoble installing to C:\Program Files (x86), and finding immediate remedy from from changing the installation directory (folder.)
*Best: If you have another partition/drive, install the game there...for instance...E:\Dragon Age Inquisition (if you have a drive E:\ )
*Next Best: If all you have is one giant c:\ drive/partition, change the default install location to C:\Dragon Age Inquisition
The problem seems to be that newer versions of Windows have enhanced root-drive protections...Good habit is to get out of the habit of installing your games to C:\Program Files (x86)
