Unable to log in to the Dragon Age Servers

I just recently installed DOA + Awakening (patched to 1.05) on a new Windows 10 x64 PC, and I can't seem to get logged in to DOA servers at game launch. When I enter my username & password, I get the following error:

"Unable to log in to the Dragon Age servers. The username or password is incorrect. Please try again."

I've confirmed that exceptions have been made in Windows Firewall and I've also reset my EA password so that it doesn't contain any special characters. 😢 Please help?

  • This was actually a PC install, so no console activation was required. So here's what finally fixed it for me:

    Reducing my password length!

That's right, not only do you need to eliminate special characters, but you need to further reduce the security by making it shorter. 👎 Previously, my password was about 12 characters long (I think).

  • @awood76 If you have the console activated you won't be able to log in. You're already ruled out special characters (really wish they would fix that!), which would have been my next guess.

If that's not it, and you really need to log in to activate your DLC, all I can suggest is getting in touch with support, which you can do here.

  • I just re-read the first line of your reply. So you're saying that if I have DAO activated on a console, I won't be able to play it on any other platform?  That blows. Also, that explains why I can't get DA2 to login to DA servers on the same PC. I have DA2 installed on my PS3.  Not that I'm really bothered by that, I've found that the PS3 port is just as good as (if not slightly better than) PC.

Thanks very much for the info!

@awood76 I wasn't talking about consoles, I was talking about the developer console, which can be activated to allow cheating or debug tools which can help get around bugs, having it activated prevents you from logging in in-game. Having the game (or any game I can think of) on a different platform won't affect your ability to play it on computer.

Sorry for the confusion, I was tired and should have worded my reply more clearly. 🙂

Also, thanks for sharing your solution 🙂
