What is "Fade Touch" texture option?

Can someone explain what exactly the graphical option for textures that is named "Fade Touch" that is "above" Ultra Texture is?

  • Since you haven't had an answer, I am going to see if I can figure it out.

  • Fade touched is basically BEYOND Ultra. They only named that to be tied to the lore I guess. Kind of silly actually but yes Fade Touched is the best avaliable option and some graphic options cannot go beyond High or Ultra

  • According to this post on NeoGAF forum:

    It's simply a larger texture cache for GPUs with more VRAM using Ultra textures. Should mean less frequent loading of textures into memory, which may result in smoother gameplay and quicker mid-level streaming loads.

    I've seen reports over the Internet that it should work fine with 4GB VRAM. I think I'll try it myself and see if there's any difference in load times.

    You are a hero my friend. But from what I looked up, its supposed to be the highest quality possible. the name "fade touched" was apparently  give because its appearance is "DreamLike".
