When are you fixing Dorian's companion quest bug?

I am also having this problem on PS4. I have completed One Less Venatori, never said anything in conversation that leads to Dorian's disapproval, and just finished the Winter Palace with all the options that lead to "Dorian Greatly Approves," and he still won't talk to me about anything except questions regarding Tevinter.

I've heard this problem can be caused if you have too much approval with Dorian prior to going to Skyhold, but this is unconfirmed at the moment. This would also mean the bug only occurs to players who sided with the mages, which I doubt.

I did side with the mages, so theoretically that's possible in my case.

  Aye, one issue with the hidden approval ratings is that you can't immediately check approval level for confirmation.
  
  I have seen the theory about the early high approval too, it sounds plausible.

    But narritive wise, it doesn't make sense. The approval rate should be seen as a "minimum" to trigger and not "too much to trigger". It's counterintuitive. Also, siding with the mages should almost be a pre-requisite to date him (not really, but you get my point).
    
    So, technicalities apart, all the bugs related to triggering the felix letter cutscene don't make sense from neither story or mechanics perspextive.

  No. Both my characters before this one with the bug are human (1 female and 1 male), both straight - BOTH sided with mages (in fact all my characters side with mages), and I WAS able to trigger and complete the quest "Last resort of good men".
  
  The character with the bug has made THE SAME choices AND SAME replies as my other 2 characters (I don't deviate, just try different classes)... and the other 2 DID have this quest trigger and complete. This is a bug, EA
