Why can't I use thousand cuts?

@deathssavior1577 As others have said, it is a focus based skill (like your rift ability), you must have at least one full focus bar to use it. Whether you're using a bow or daggers does not matter. Focus abilities are not intended to be able to be used often, you save it for when you really need it. There are also inquisition perks (from the war table) to increase your focus bars from 1 to 3.

Found a bug I used it once but can not use it anymore. Please help, must be a bug.

Please use your existing thread instead of continuing to create new ones, it will not get a faster response and clutters the board. I have combined your last two into one thread, and left the other since it was marked as solved with a different question answered.

As posted earlier....you can't use 1000 cuts because you don't have a dagger on your character, you have a bow equipped. Put on a dagger and you can then use the skill.....1000 cuts, not 1000 arrows.....

  @mcsupersport Is this something that was patched out? I googled Thousand Cuts and I see several comments stating it should work with a bow as well. I also found this video which demonstrates it.

  @mcsupersport I am sorry I haven't made a archer in a long time I didn't know I do that. Can I use Sabotage and Supterfuge for archer?

    @deathssavior1577 Seriously who the hell made it not possible to use it, I did use it once but I used once and now I doesn't work, I never had this trouble before the new version. Mcsupersport I do not know anything new.

  There's an item upgrade that gives you an n% chance to cast thousand cuts at random, which is super powerful. I use that instead of the ability. 🙂
  
  Edit: I was wrong. It was hidden blades and it's always 10% chance. It comes from masterworks: https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Crafting_materials
