Can someone who designed this game explain why I cannot use a mouse button to interact? Further, why cannot mouse buttons be used for any dam thing? Very disapointed in the limitations placed on game play, here is to hoping a patch wil fix this. I find it hard to believe a this game has more limited interaction than Neverwinter Nights Online, which came out years ago....
The reasons may include a reluctance to allow the use of macroing your way through hard mode when you could simply use easy mode instead.
I am NOT expecting every key bind possible, BUT being able to use Mouse3 or Mouse4 (Common on 90% of all mice) to be used to interact/loot or enable auto run or even for one or two of your attacks.
As a person who witnessed the evolution of gaming and started playing pong and asteroids in the 1970, and played every quality RPG DnD Game from the original SSI DnD games, Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter and Dragon Ages series; this oversight is unaccusable. If we don’t let them know, they won’t fit it.

When you buy expensive mouse - say, Razer Deathadder - you have a panel on which you can map all mouse buttons to different keys. For example Mouse Button 3 = V, etc.
Same for keyboards. You can even create macroes (so one key, actually emulates pressing multiple keys in order, etc)
This is not a fix, but a very limited workaround.
You may try looking at config files (Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age Inquisition/Saves. I am at work, so I can not check.

I would settle for them fixing the "controller" option, at this point.
I doubt EA cares about its customers having an optimum PC experience. The mouse is simply ignored as an input device. Its like nobody even QC 'd this for PC. Just exported it through the "PC" output module and printed it. Im shocked at how unnecessarily clumsy this game is to control with the mouse and keyboard. Who was in charge of this? Didnt they ever play a PC RPG before?
Trying to shoehorn complex PC controls onto a console controller is admirable but stripping away functionality from a mouse and keyboard to match a console controller is idiotic and lazy, at best. This is why I think EA doesnt care. And this is the future going forward. Once Frostbitten twice shy.

Coz my down arrow button is broken. Its always been broken, I dont have the skills, confidence or money to fix it. I cant do S**T in this game I cant even change the bindings. Im so goddamn frustrated. Ive been waiting for this game Ive been wanting this game so bad for so long and I CANT EVEN PLAY IT BECAUSE I CANT USE MY * MOUSE IM SO * PISSED RIGHT NOW * YOU EA * YOU
