Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts Eavesdropping problem

I cannot get the eavesdropping to work. I have contacted support chat and did everything he suggested. No help. The eavesdropping has a red circle and no matter what key I press it doesn't work. I know the right mouse (using a PC) is the action key, but it didn't work. I have tried EVERYTHING: cleaned caches, restarted computer, went back to a previous save, tried a different dialogue. Nada, nothing, no change. I cannot eavesdrop.

Anyone have any idea? It's driving me nuts as I have finished all the other quests and I cannot move forward until this one is done.

So I contact customer service and the first time, the guy really tries to help. Has me clean caches, etc. The second time, as the first solutions didn't work, a customer service tech says Trust me and tells me I have to start a whole new game. As in there is no fix, so I ask what I am to do if I run into the problem again and the tech replies that I should just start another new game. So basically just keep starting a new game and never finishing a game....does that sound like a plan?

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Please?
