Hey, @porosian
I wanted to follow up on this thread to see if you're still experiencing issues with the game. If you need any further assistance, please let us know!
Cheers!
Hello @EA_Shepard
Thank you for your reply to the post.
Yes I can confirm that this is still an issue. I don’t exactly expect all of the bugs I mentioned to be fixed, however I would like to open a dialogue to get reassurance about the next dragon age game due to release in the fall.
Since I’ve come across so many bugs, I’ve searched the forums (and Reddit) for help quite regularly. To my surprise, I see plenty of posts here describing the same issues I’ve faced where EA staff disregard concerns and close the post from future comments. It would be crucial to know if Veilguard will get better treatment than Inquisition, as it’s quite concerning to see the people who can fix these issues simply ignore them. Will we have the same experience with bugs as we have in the past? Will staff brush off our worries about the game nearing unplayable territory with the amount of bugs? Or will we be listened to and taken seriously?
I personally have had to use a second Xbox console to avoid game breaking bugs (quest givers not present but are marked on the map or you simply can’t talk to them, or the verifying free space data bug) or quality of life bugs (like the search function not showing the items found on the mini map) and that’s not something every player can do. I am fortunate that my parents are gamers too and we have other consoles in the house; that’s actually how I noticed quite how many bugs are present in this game.
The industry has changed a lot in the past 10-15 years, I recognise this sincerely. However, I believe EA will have to be hotter on fixing these bugs in Veilguard because people nowadays will just abandon the game and leave bad reviews online and through word of mouth (see how Starfield and Cyberpunk suffered from this). Any reported bugs that are still present 6 months to a year after release will shatter reputation, especially if they get the same treatment as Inquisition. I beg that the same mistakes are not made, because I and many others are so excited for the next release. This will be an opportunity to show the community that EA and BioWare cares about player experience and hears their concerns, and will even fix what’s needed. Do you believe this is possible?
