Xbox One offline time counted as played hours

I've noticed that when I haven't gone to the trouble of exiting out of the game to the main menu and instead just turn off my Xbox one, that when I come back all the hours the Xbox was off are being counted towards my played time, presumably because of the auto-resume feature. Is that something anyone else has noticed?

I was trying to find where my hours played were even displayed. It turns out that my "222" in my filename is my hours played. And I'm only level 8! Talk about a long game! Tested this specifically through timed saves and loads.
