Jumping is a pain

I thought having to play mountain goat in Inquisition was bad, but it is as bad or worse in Veilguard.  I have run across places in the game that seemed inaccessible, as every time I tried to jump, I ended up dead in the lava or from the height of the fall.  Having to line up at exactly the right spot, and at exactly the correct angle towards the landing zone is bad enough, but not having any indicators that a jump at this spot is REQUIRED is irksome.  I had to go to YouTube and search to find that, yes a jump was necessary, and from what area to start with.

I totally get how tricky the jumping can feel. I've jumped around so much as a rogue, it's kinda wild how it just smashes boxes after jumping. It’s one of those mechanics that seems like it should flow smoothly with the characters and abilities, but sometimes it’s like your character just refuses to cooperate. I’ve found that adjusting the camera angle or timing the jump a little earlier than you’d think can help with some of the tougher spots. If it’s still giving you grief, you’re not alone. I'll add it to the feedback I have on the game mechanics, though.

    Thanks!
