Audio bug: No vfx during cutscenes

So I've been experiencing some big audio bugs and this is one that breaks immersion for me a lot. Cutscenes won't have any vfx. Like I'll hear the dialogue in the early scene where you're stopping solas and the footsteps, conversation, etc but no audio vfx such as the sound of magic or weapons, or any other vfx. No darkspawn cries or roars, just ambient sounds and dialogue.
