bug: dodge not working in combat
so for some reason on my ps5 my dodge/quick recover button isn’t working while in combat? it works as soon as combat ends but not when i actually need it. occasionally when i switch saves it works, but its not guaranteed. tried changing the dodge to a different button and still nothing
Missing Item & Missing Upgrade to Item
My Rook is a mage at level 48 and I haven't touched the main quest of Price of the Past > The Words of the Wolf yet. I've been searching for the helmet, Stinging Blow, and can't find it. I have 100% of Treviso mapped and all chests opened. The Crow's Faction Shop is at level 3, but the helmet is not part of locked items when I hover over it. It's not at the novelty blade shop in Treviso or the Black Emporium. I have mapped and opened 100% of the chests and other items in the Crossroads. The other problem item is the heavy armorExplorer's Suit: I could only find a single upgrade to it during the Blood of Arlathan quest. I can't access Drusilla in Docktown (chose Treviso) and it doesn't show up in the Crossroads later in the game. My Shadow Dragon store rank is 4 in the Crossroads. Other info: Deluxe version of PC game via EA game store (pre-ordered).
Spinning Gold From Grey Quest Bug
I start the mission (which is in Hossberg Wetlands), then move towards the first mercenary group around the dock. The first group sometimes appears, sometimes doesn't (I have exited/started the game multiple times). The rest of the mercenary groups NEVER appear in their respective areas. Some armored corpses on the ground seem to be interactable (interaction button floats above them). When I try to interact, nothing happens (no dialogue is prompted as well). When I try to load to a previous save, the menu doesn't appear. Neither do the map or any other menu really. The world starts glitching. My character can still move but overall the game becomes unplayable because of the disappearing ground. I force exit the game and reload it. Same thing happens but only during this quest. Never had an issue like this before either. I am guessing this is a quest specific bug? I didn't have issues continuing the game doing other missions in Dock Town afterwards.
[PS5] Crashing during cutscenes
I'm about 50 hours into the game, on the Isle of the Gods quest, and the game has started crashing during the cutscenes. It gets about 10-20seconds into cutscenes and then it just freezes. I've tried starting a new game and it does the same thing in the first cutscene. I've tried clearing cache, rebuilding database, deleting game and reinstalling, and that hasn't fixed the issue. I can't play or finish the game now and I'm a little unsure what to do. I wondered if anyone has experienced similar and what to do? Thanks in advance! 🙂
Crackling sound making it unplayable
Title screen, Varric doing his monologue and character creation all play sound with no problem but the second I got to the first cutscene with my rook and then into Mintrathous the sound is constantly crackling and cutting out. Have tried every possible audio setting in game and updated drivers. (On windows 10)
[PC] Game crashes on launch
Whenever I launch the game, I get this DirectX error message saying that my video card has been removed. It's been like this since the game came out. I've tried everythings I could find on the internet to fix it, to the point I had to reinstall Windows because my other games were no longer working either anymore. But even that did not solve the issue. Out of frustration, I refunded the game after 2 weeks. Now, 2 months and 4 patches later, the game is on sale on Steam so I thought I give it a try again. I updated my graphics driver and launched it but unfortunately, I still get the same error message (See the screenshot in the attachment). It's really frustrating that patches are coming out that fix minor audio issues or add useless functions like a photo mode, but nothing is being done about this. Another tread on this forum addressed this issue but it was marked as 'solved', even though the issue is not solved at all for many people. Link: DirectX Error | EA Forums - 5003098 So I thought I open a new thread for those who still have this issue, as I suspect the EA mods are no longer looking at posts that are marked as 'solved'. Hopefully by posting it again, I keep this issue alive so that it will actually be addressed.
Index File: An Error Occurred while trying to complete your request
At the splash screen when it says to press any button I get this error as soon as I press anything and cannot get past this. I have reinstalled the game, tried it on two different hard drives. Disabled my firewall, checked blocked folder history in Microsoft security, went into properties and security to ensure permissions were enabled. Idk what else to do to get it to work. EA support has been nice but they haven't given me any solutions.Game not saving when I save it
At least half the time when I save my game, it doesn't actually save. It says it did, and the new save reflects the current time, etc. However, when I reload a save because I died or get off the game and reload into it, it puts me back at a previous point in my playthrough rather than at the point I actually saved. It's incredibly frustrating having to constantly replay hours of the game that I JUST completed, and it makes me never want to play the game again. I have tried double saving, only saving at the Lighthouse, all kinds of stuff. In addition, I've tried to delete old saves to try to prevent them from interfering with my new ones, but once I confirm that I'd like to delete a save, nothing happens. Every save remains.
Dragon Age: Inquisition Bug with a Tomb in the Hissing Wastes
I experienced a glitch in the tomb of the Hissing Wastes near the canyon camp in which no matter the order that I light the veils on the pillars, I do not complete the mission but instead only encounter monsters (which I have heard is a sign that your lighting did achieve the objective but functions as if it were the wrong pillar). I have heard that this has been an bug encountered in the past as well by other players. How do I resolve the glitch? Thank you!
Mythal dialogue option missing?
If you speak to Mythal after completing all of Bellara's companion quests, there's an additional option for answering that'll convince Mythal immediately. I decided to go this route my second playthrough, however, sped through Bellara's companion quests and there's nothing. I've reloaded a few times and the the dialogue option is still not showing up. Anyone else have this issue? I've found a few other people on another forum with the same problem.Cornered in the Catacombs - Bugged/Locked
When I first entered this area, none of the monsters spawned so I walked through the whole area (catacombs in dock town) and took the elevator up. I had already accepted the quest 'cornered in the catacombs' and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working, so I left the area and went to do some other quests. Eventually I came back to this quest. This time, all the monsters and blight spawned when I entered the Catacombs. However, once I reached the end, the elevator I original took was already stuck at the top. Now I can't finish this quest since the elevator is stuck above and there's no way to bring the elevator down again since the lever at the bottom of the elevator is also blocked by the blight, lol.[Xbox] Dialogue in French and Won’t Change
I quit the game and when I came back it was in French. I changed the setting back to English it said to restart for it to work but restarting didn’t work. It won’t change back to English. It says in the settings it’s in English, my Xbox settings are in English but it is still in French. I’ve reset my Xbox a dozen times trying to fix it over the last couple of days to no avail. I saw another post for this issue but no solution.[PC] Skill Effect Audio Plays Non-Stop
Encountering a bug with the audio in game. When engaging in battle the audio for weapon effects continues to play even post battle and does not stop. Looping audio for Necrotic Weapons. Stops when I reload the game but returns the next time I get into a battle. I have been having no end of grief with DAV lately and it’s getting to me point where I can’t play it. I’ve lost track of how often it’s booted me out of the game to my console Home Screen and even more recently it’s crashed my entire Xbox twice. This needs fixing ASAP
