Game Save Progress Missing
For the last couple gaming sessions, Dragon Age Veilguard has lost the most recent saved progress. For my last manual save, my character was in Arlithan Forest, standing in front of Harding to take the boat to the next area, and when I came back a day later the save was gone. The last manual and automatic saves are oddly in the exact same spot, and I've probably lost about an hours worth of progress, along with multiple manual and automatic saves. I opened a case with EA, but is anyone else encountering this problem?
Cant finish Regrets of the Dread Wolf
In Heights of Athim, I jumped down the Path of Solas memories by mistake and held on the ledge and went out of the area... After a while i came back to finish the quest, but now when i jump down, the Memory wont trigger and the Path is blocked a little later.. Bc the script wont start, theres no way for me to get the last Wolf statuette. I already progressed to far to reload an older save...
VRAM leak! [MAJOR Performance bug!]
The game is suffereing from a severe VRAM leak on PC. Most typically this would happen when loading into a new area after a cutscene, the most early instance of this being when loading into Arlathan to meet Bellara for the first time. On my PC, when starting a new game, VRM usage sits at 65%. The intro sequence plays out fairly stable at around mid-50s to 60 FPS. As soon as I land in Arlathan just before meeting Bellara, the VRAM usage shoots up to 85% and framerate drops to mid-20s. After the cutscene meeting Bellara, if I save and close down the game and re-launch into the save, VRAM is at 75% and I again have a stable upper-50s framerate. By the time I reach the Veiljumper camp, VRAM is up to 87% with framerates in the sub-30s again. And on and on it goes... Lowering graphical settings does nothing to alleviate this problem, the same thing occurs whether I have graphics set to Ultra or Low. RTX off. And this problem keeps repeating through out the game. No idea if it is a game bug or NVidia's fault, but this really needs to be addressed because it is not fun having to reload the game every 20 minutes just to get stable performance out of it. RTX 3080, i7 10700K, 32GB RAM, NVMe drive, Windows 11 24H2, all drivers and software up to date.
Rally Party Turns Bellara into a walking Sun
With the Reborn Leathers armor from completing Bellara's companion quest equipped, gaining the Rally Party buff will turn Bellara into a walking Sun. It twinkles when she or your camera are moving with her on screen and is kind of blinding because bloom will fill the screen. It's pretty funny at least.Shathann always refers to Rook as a man
In Taash's quest Fire on the Sands, at the end when you meet Shathann she comments that it's unusual for Taash to be interested in men. The first Rook I played was male so this was fine, but the second time I made a nonbinary Rook with a masculine body and voice and got the same line. This struck me as odd, but it could make sense if Shathann isn't familiar with nonbinary people at this point. It suited the character so it didn't really bother me. For my third playthrough however, I made another nonbinary Rook, this time with a feminine body and voice. I just finished that quest and the same line triggered. I haven't played as a female Rook so I don't know what she says in that situation, but it seems like she's flagged to always comment on Rook being a man if they aren't specifically a woman. ETA: It sounds like this dialogue triggers when Rook is a woman as well, so it's just straight up bugged.Rook stuck at level 1
I played about 10-12 hours at launch and got to around level 10, I think. I stopped playing and started it back up again today to find my Rook at level 1 (still have my skills) and the xp saying something like 16,000 \ 0. I can no longer level or gain skill points and I am going to have to restart the game from the beginning. I'm guessing a combination of the patches did something (maybe connected to me not playing in between the patches?). I'm glad I wasn't super far in, but it will be fairly tedious to go through all of this again.
Character appearance resets after loading a save
This problem started when I first started playing the game. For some reason, if I try to load an old save, it seems like there a 2/3 chance of it loading in a standard default character appearance. On trialling it, sometimes quitting the game and reloading the most recent save works, but any older saves revert the appearance. There also still a chance of it happening even on the most recent save. I can take screenshots if necessary. I'm playing the game from Steam, if that helps make things clearer.
Game causes my pc to randomly turn off after update3
after update 3, my pc will randomly turn off while playing. its only this game that is causing this to happen. im not over heating either. i turn the pc back on right away, run geforce and it shows my temp around 45c. i have an i7 and nvidia 2070 super 16 gig ram and a ssd hard drive. theres no stuttering or freezing leading up to it either. all the settings are set to low as well. prior to update3, i had no issues at all, not a single ctd. i have the game through ea app, and all other programs are off. all drivers are up to dateVeilguard Crashing
So Everytime I try to get into the game I either crashs before the loading screen or after I try to make my rook. Is anyone else having that issue. Everything is up-to-date on my end so i don't know whats going wrong. At this point idgaf im taking my money back because its obviously the Game creators fault and not listenting to people.
Bugs after 11/7 Update (Regrets of the Dread Wolf and loading assets)
Hey I tried to post this yesterday but wasn't able to for some reason. Just wanted to share some issues I've been having since before the update on 11/7, that have persisted even after. First and most important is that I'm being blocked by an invisible wall in the last part of the Regrets of the Dread Wolf quest. I started this flashback before and the cut scene wouldn't load for some reason, left me stuck after the first battle, I loaded into my most recent save and haven't been able to re-enter the scene since. There is another post on this issue, I will link it as well as my own screenshot of the same issue. If this were any other side quest, I would be fine to let it go but these revelations matter to the endgame and companion relationships so I would prefer to have the added lore and not have to leave this save untouched for too long til the issue is resolved. I've been considering either taking a break or playing an entirely new save til this is working again. My other issue, not as urgent... is this bug where when I load into a save, my character is being loaded in as a preset. I have to be in the Lighthouse when I quit out of most sessions, just in case I need to reset my character's cosmetics to what I set them to originally when I load back in. Hoping someone gets a chance to note this and work out these small issues. That said, the game has been amazing so far and I know there's always things to iron out after launch. Entropic Sphere Bug
So, I've been playing and absolutely loving the game so far. Nearly 60 hours into it playing a mage, and I went for the Evoker specialization. I have come across a strange interaction that I believe to be unintentional. When I first got the Entropic Sphere spell and started using it, the projectile traveled fairly slowly. Not a problem, in fact I believe that was intended so that it would stay on the enemies you wanted to hit with it, and at the speed that it was traveling it had a sort of affect that pulled enemies towards the center of the AoE as it moved. Now, here's where the bug comes into play. As I kept leveling I found some upgrades in the skill tree that increased the radius of the spell. Each time I increased the radius the spell seemed to movefasterto the point that it would go past the enemies and go much further than what I believed the range to be. The problem that came up with this is that the suction affect was too slow to keep enemies inside the radius while they are trying to get to the player to attack. This made it so that the spell would hit them for maybe two seconds and then already be past them, which means it does less damageAND it wouldn't apply the weakened primer status to them because that's only applied on detonation not first contact. Even though the radius is much larger it now moves too fast to really hit anything with. But taking the AoE increase off will reduce it on other spells I am using. Not sure if anybody else is running into this problem? I'm hoping EA can find a fix. TL;DR Evoker mage has issues with Entropic Sphere moving too fast to really be effective if you upgrade the radius in any way.Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Last Rites BUGS on XBOX
I destroyed all the crystals and barriers and I can see the note that I have to pick up next to the dead Venatori in front of the double doors. Supposedly there is a Crystal on the Door that I am to destroy, but through the enclosed area is says to search in the are no lit up crystals for me to destroy on any of the Doors within the area
Xbox X. 10 hours in - load times ballooned and textures dropped
Xbox X I've tried restarting the Xbox and the problems continue. What once took a couple of seconds to load is now taking 30 seconds to a minute. Environmental and conversational textures are glitchy. Some textures are loading as a water source that kills you. It feels like this should be a patch problem. Any thoughts?
Missing pre-order items
What is your EA ID or Console ID? kdarnell2 What platform are you playing on? PC What is happening? (and what do you expect to happen instead?) I am missing the pre-order gear appearances. I pre-ordered on Oct 22 and should have the promotional items but only the Deluxe items show up in the chest Does this happen in a specific area of the game? I can't find it anywhere in game and I have already completed 1 play-through Please share any steps you've tried so far to resolve the issue: Have read as much of the forums as I could (can't find a solution), checked my email for proof (can forward the notification on drop day), checked for deadline on pre-order and found none If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip... have attached 2 screenshots, 1 the chest with deluxe items, and 2 the wardrobe after opening deluxe chest
Only have option to start a new game
I played about 8 hrs of the game on PC last night, went to play this morning, and I only saw the option to start a new game. I checked the program files, and I see the saves. I tried starting a new game and loading the other, but it doesn't recognize the other character exists either. Path - "C:\BioWare\Dragon Age The Veilguard\save games\128953833\0-439266\0-439266 Elysande-Home sweet whatever #249.csav" Is it being routed to the wrong location or something? I want to get this fixed so I can actually play the game.
Veilguard randomly resets my console.
Im playing on an Xbox Series X and Dragonage The Veilguard at some point once a day (after about 2-3 hours of playtime) will just black screen and force my console to reset itself. Thats a little weird and a bug /technical issue that needs to be addressed. I have played other games with similar play times and they work just fine, this issue is specifically when im playing DA The veilguard.
