Character appearance resets after loading a save

This problem started when I first started playing the game. For some reason, if I try to load an old save, it seems like there a 2/3 chance of it loading in a standard default character appearance. O...

Having the same problem, is very difficult to make it remember my character in docktown.

It's also refusing to load my most recent saves and keeps taking me back to the auto save where your character says to Neve "so you must know all the secrets to docktown" regardless of where I save beyond that point.
