Character Customization is done when game begins
Spent a long time customizing my character, but once I exit the first cutscene with the bartender, all of my character customization goes away and my character reverts to the basic character model

Which platform are you on?
Having the exact same thing happend to me, see my pretty character I used hrs creating in the bar as game starts and when I get out its back to standard preset character. Playing trough steam
I’m playing on PC. I had to go back to a previous auto save during the bartender cutscene to fix it
