Still having issues even after patch 4, losing my mind over hereeeeeee xD (laughing face so I don't come off hostile but really it's making the game unplayable and this has been an issue for me and clearly others since launch).
Also, it would be really nice if the patch notes would at least acknowledge the issue? Even just to say that someone is looking into it? I feel like I'm getting gaslit by patch notes. Also having some general latency issues, the audio popping tends to be worse when it's lagging but is present when the game is running 'fine' also. Though the game runs like it's in early access.
Technical information, though it's not going to matter because everyone's tech seems to be all over the place for this issue:
Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.4GHz; 16GB Ram DDR4; Running on SSD; Geforce RTX 4060; My drivers are up-to-date and I don't have sound enhancements.
For curiosity's sake - have you tried turning down graphic options? My laptop has lower specs than yours and no sound crackling, my desktop has higher specs than yours, and it had the sound problem until I cranked graphics down.
It's clearly a Veilguard-specific issue, but aside from a small improvement after switching to Wide Dynamic sound (in game settings), turning graphics down to Medium* almost totally eliminated sound crackling for me outside of the narrative slides. I'm curious because it feels like there's some really funky stuff going on with the game's memory management and resource allocation, and if changing graphics settings helps resolve the sound issue for others like it did for me, that might help them get on the right track for actually fixing it.
*turn to High to enable strand hair and lighting, then manually turn Textures and other options down to Medium.

Hi, thanks for the reply!
So I have previously tried to lower graphic options, like you I'd be willing to play the game on a lower quality in the interim if it got these issues to stop - it hadn't worked.
I followed your advice here and unfortunately while it is once again 'marginally' better, I am still having issues. I'm not well-versed in tech-stuff but it kind of sounds less 'sharp' now, and a little less frequent, but in players like Dock Town it's still there outside of cutscenes.
At this point though I am glad for any improvement though, so thanks for the advice!
