About to uninstall this garbage - can't disable start on bootup

For weeks now. Every single day the launcher starts up on bootup, quietly. And in the middle of the day randomly pops up with an update about a sale! I disable the "launch on startup" option. I clo...

I've been having this exact problem as well the last couple of months. I've just now disabled the EA App Notifications for Sales and will report back if that fixes it. I've tried all the other suggestions in this thread previously without any success.
