Battlefield and Battlefront... cant even run
Bought Battlefield and Battlefront... cant even run them, says my drivers need to be updated, since i apperently have version 0.0 istalled. Every other game in existence work fine, but nope not the games run by EA. I tried reinstalling my drivers, since that seemed to be the problem, oh but what a suprise, it still doesnt work. So Kudos to EA for not being able to do the only thing they should be good at... having playable games, kinda ironic dont you think, i mean... you know, having a game company that cant even recognize up to date drivers so that people arent able to play the game they bought. Hello, I'm opening this thread to let you know that it is incredible that in 2025 there is still no button to allow players to locate installed games like we were able to do with the Origin App. There are thousands of threads on this forum about players unable to select a folder where the game is already installed, forcing them to install the game again. I wanted to download Battlefield 4 to play a classic game and have some fun. However, the EA app refused to connect me to the network along with limiting my download speed to 250Kb/s... I literally gave up and cancelled the download and uninstalled the game. Why is it so difficult for EA to just make a SERVICEABLE launcher.
EA App Instability with Sims 3
Ever since the change from Origin to the EA App, I've had consistent issues with the management of my Sims 3 and all of it's DLC, store content etc. I'm regularly having to re-enter my in game settings, from ages, to seasons, to time format. This is a constant issue since the change to the EA App. Twice now, none of my DLC towns have been properly installed. I should only have to install this content once. The EA App should not be allowed to make changes to my saved game content such as DLC and Sims 3 Store content. The missing DLC includes as above, towns, certain premium items etc and causes a 'serious error' when loading a town which is in any way reliant on DLC I'm unaware has suddenly been either disconnected or uninstalled from my game. I have been getting prompts to 'Register' my Sims 3 game with Origin, which I did ages ago. If I close this window, as I'm no longer using my physical discs for gameplay, it aborts the starting of the game. I'm honestly sick of this App, the fact that we're forced to use it rather than simply installing all of our owned merchandise onto our PCs and being able to start the game with the launcher, allowing us to bypass this abysmal PC app. Please fix the stability of this app with regard to already installed games, in particular the Sims 3. You've made a mess of it and the game costs, in total, a fortune.
Disable Background Service Option Where'd it GO?
Come on there is no need to have a background service running all the time while i'm not using the app. You never required this before so why now? My gosh, why do you insist on making me have to go to the services and force stop it every time. Just please stop being silly.EA app constantly crashing.
I'm on Windows 10 pro. system specs CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D RAM 32 GB @ 3600 MT GUP AMD Radeon RX 7600 1 TB SSD My EA app is just constantly closing after 5 or 6 seconds it started after I put in a old hard drive from a previous system and the only thing I could think that would make the EA app unhappy was a really old install of burnout paradise remastered from a lost EA account and I'm thinking it is just auto closing thinking something's wrong. I have since completely disconnected the drive and it is still doing it afterwards I have done several fresh installs and even used Revo uninstaller and no luck.
