EA App versus Origin

May i ask a general question?

Why did you change from Origin to EA App when EA App doesnt even allow very basic things like change the language of a game?

I moved to a new hard drive (m2 SSD) and accidentally had EA App set to the wrong language. Now my installation of Anthem is in the wrong language.
The only solution EA App offers is to deinstall and redownload the game (in Origin i could just change the language; no problem).
Sure. If i had good internetconnection that wouldnt be a big deal. But i dont. Now i have to redownload it again. Takes like 8 hours or something. I should really send you an electric bill at this point.

So yeah. Why did you swap out Origin for an App which doesnt just have a way worse name, in my oppinion but is objectively worse by missing basic options its predecesor had?

  • @Genitor88 In my opinion it's not limited to the name, EVERYTHING about "EA App" is worse. I feel very bad for the developers but it's just not complete yet (by their own admission). Origin wasn't anything special, but it was really-REALLY solid. My gawd, we don't even have a wishlist anymore, how basic is that?
  • which is what i said. But ok. I am glad you agree even if you make it seem you disagree.

on to somethign else: I just realized EA APP installs under C:/ even if you tell it to go to someplace else.

Ok guys. This is it. Get your * together EA. This program is an absolute joke.

  • You think that's bad, I can't even install the EA App. I can't access games I paid for. i can't buy new games. My support cases are closed as soon as I submit them and I get stink-eye from mods when I bring these issues up.
