EA Desktop App/Origin Problems

The EA Desktop App is still in Beta testing hence why there are 2 platforms along with some that experience issues with it.  For now, IMO Origin is the main way I would recommend downloading the game and updates.

I usually see this when players have purchased the game though a third party retailer, where the game isn't picked up by the EA app. 

The workaround for this is using Origin instead where it should work without issues. 

Where did you purchase the game?

Thanks for getting back to me.

I originally purchased BF 2042 Gold Edition. I then cancelled the order due to the delay (just incase it was delayed again).

Around release time, I purchased the Gold Edition via CDKeys.com.

As you state. It works fine on Origin. I was going to uninstall EA Desktop App but it's needed for GamePass PC.

I see questions about why BF2042 isn't showing up on the EA app more frequently lately. 

It's something that I have raised with the teams to be looked into.

Players that don't use the forums might not be able to find the information that I posted and are wondering why their game isn't working on the EA app. Plus some might not want to use two launchers at the same time like you're doing with the GamePass subscription.

I was actually going to mention it in my previous post. But it's so easy for people like me to criticise when I don't work behind the scenes with the Gaming Industry.

You guys work amazingly hard so sometimes it's best not to say anything.

However, I agree with your statement regarding information being communicated. Myself, I don't check forums or websites like Reddit often so usually my "go-to" is Twitter.

It would be great to see a small feature with Origin and EA Desktop App. Just a lil notification to indicate that "you guys are aware of these specific issues and here's how to resolve it. If you can't resolve it, here's where you can find more information". I would imagine just abit of communication like that would take away alot of traffic going through @EAHelp on Twitter and other various forms of discussions on the internet.

With the pandemic still here, I think alot of people (including myself) forget that. Keep up the hard work Jason.
