Closing sims 4 opens the ea app - Why?

This has been bugging me in Origin too. But at least there was an option to disable this. Which didnt work properly. Now this option is gone and every time I close my game the app opens only for me to close it again because I didnt open it myself nor do I need to see it flashing on my task bar as if its important. No other launcher behaves like this!

Back then when I reported this for the first time a support person said it will be relayed to the devs. But that was years ago and now I report it again.

Why? Because I have OCD. Its super annoying and unnecessary to design an app that opens by itself without user permission.
