"EA" Launcher is just the most terrible launcher I have ever used (worst than Ubisoft).
The worst part is that it was forced to me if I wanted to keep using the games I had on Origin.
It's driving me nuts.
Leave a comment/upvote to let the prog teams know.
Now ea crapp worst ever applicaton, but steam devs not so ideal too: as example steam prevents shutdown pc few years and they dont care aswell as ea. Shutdown screen says some steam servers prevents turning off and this can continies loooong time.
This app is indeed awful. Login issues, not exiting from system tray when clicking exit button and having to force it to close, now not launching my game. I spent 20 years not buying EA games due to their business practices and I rue the day I was ever gifted one and dragged back in.
One would think they'd do better after how bad Origin started as a platform. I guess not though, and the cycle repeats itself... Electronic Avarice
This new EA launcher is an absolute f*cking piece of crap! Not only was the Origin launcher excellent in every way, they forced everyone to download and use this rubbish!
Games take ages to load and sometimes they downright fail. My entire network will be Boycotting EA hereafter if this is the crap they do.
I posted back in October a list over things missing in the EA app back then. Nothing, literally nothing has been changed.
And the stuff I posted were just stuff they already had in Origin or things Origin did better.
While Origin was a mess in itself it was way better than EA app. At least in Origin games actually launched and repairing and installing games took 2-3 times less time. The repair part is extremely annoying now as games just randomely refuse to launch untily you do a repair.
They havent added any functionalitity since early beta. The app I see now is more or less the same app I saw when I installed itthe first day in open beta years ago.
Its like they wanted to replace Origin so they made a new app but abandoned it the moment it hit open beta.
In short:
They made something bad and replaced it with something even worse.
14 years on Steam, haven't had half the problems I've had on EA app in the short time since it was forced on us.
My first thought was...well, this is typical of EA. Release crap that doesn't work. This is so consistent with their games, I'm not surprised...but I am very angry and frustrated. How do they get away with constantly pushing out junk like this? They are preventing me from accessing apps that I have bought and paid for. It's criminal.
The entire community asked EA to stop with their terrible mandatory peace of garbage launcher, yet they won't...
This forum is a joke... Instead of providing real support, they send their customers yelling in a room where they don't go!

I decided, and my kids are well aware and agree, that our family is NOT buying a single game from EA unless they remove the launcher requirement...
Vote with your wallets people! There are millions of other games on the wild, we don't need EA if they think they don't need us!
