"EA" Launcher is just the most terrible launcher I have ever used (worst than Ubisoft).
The worst part is that it was forced to me if I wanted to keep using the games I had on Origin.
It's driving me nuts.
Leave a comment/upvote to let the prog teams know.
This is 2 years since then, and it still the worst.
The worst launcher I ever had, each time I want to launch my game (EA sport 24) I have to try, like, 20 times before the launcher starts itself, then, pray for my game to launch.
The EA App does even open for me. I just get it bouncing at the bottom of my Mac until it just stops and nothing happens. I actually miss origin so much
Yep. Double click a shortcut without EA open? Prepare to sit there for infinity.
Want to start the EA app after that? Prepare to just stare a blank slate of gray.
The app itself isnt THAT bad but it's pretty half-assed, IMO.
WHY BOTHER COMPETING WITH STEAM WHEN THE PRODUCT YOU MAKE IS INFERIOR IN EVERY WAY?
CUZ THEY DONT WANT TO PAY THE MONEY TO VALVE.
So now we suffer.
And they still don't fix this ... years after.
Man I love that this dumpster fire is still burning. I check back every so often to see if people are still screaming into the void and I’m never disappointed. They don’t care and won’t be fixing anything. I’m 80% sure that the staff here have quit reading these forums and only check in a threaten a ban every so often to make it appear someone is listening.
I hate to restart my laptop and launch the app 4x to get it to open just now, just to play dragon age ahead of the new game coming out, even though I’m pretty sure I won’t be buying it since it has the EA stink on it
Yes it's complete garbage.
The thing that pisses me off the most is how they FORCE you to stay in it. You cannot close the app by the X and you have no option to turn if off either.
X in their app just means minimize, cause they went to force you to stay in the app
They also have it Pop up EVERY single time you quit a game.... they actually designed the app to POP up.. like a malware, after you close a game. Incredible.

You trying to do a re run of DA to prepare for Veilguard too? I'm trying to finish up DA2. I can't get the garbage app to even open most of the time. If I re-sign in, it works most of the time, but I can't sign out and no matter how many times I select "Do not stay signed in" it does it anyway. They need to board up this dog * and roll everything over to steam since it actually works. Im honestly worried if i even get Veilguard it will take an hour to open and will look and play like a crappy hero shooter, like an abomination of Fortnite/Mass Effect Andromeda, rather than a proper rpg.
Totally agree. That thing drives me crazy. I always try to import non Steam games to Steam, because to get this thing started is a pain in the butt.
Agree, it's very annoying when you quit the game and this trash app pops up. I hate it & I hate the fact that all these big gaming companies are forcing their own apps to us. It's disgusting.
