Hey everyone,
The EA app does now allow download speed to be limited, just in case that update was missed.
You can find and change this option under Settings > Download > Limit download rate.

They act like it's a massive project. Something that will require tons of research, planning, coding, testing. etc; that takes months or years to implement; as if it's the first time it's ever been done; as if they hadn't already done it in Origin; when chances are they just need to copy/paste some bit of code that everyone uses because there's no need to reinvent the wheel every time.
It was there in Origin but not carried over to this app?

So improving the app means removing a necessary function that existed on the previous app???
And i love the 'fob off' statement about passing our comments to the team... how long have they been developing this latest version? why would they leave this out?

Same issue here. Just noticed that it completely fills my connection with no bandwith left for anything else. And considering how slow the available connection is that means not being able to do anything else that requires internet for hours in case of a big update.
I tried limiting it through network limiting software but that doesn't seem to work either. Even epic has that, and their launcher is probably the most basic and featureless out there. With how cut down it is compared to Origin makes me feel like I'm back in 2004
