Origin is, for lack of a better word, an adequate product. It is functional, does what it says generally, and despite corny patch notes that say nothing and disrespect the people that actually care to read them, is reliable.
EA App for PC, is actively breaking things for people. This alone is indictment enough to stop. Just stop. Look in the mirror, and recognize you have made a product that does more actual harm than good, and stop. Talking to a corporation, is like talking to a wall, but those in charge good god what have you become? Not people that care about the end product quality, or the end user experience. This is what we get from maximizing rather than optimizing. Oh the budget... but I digress.
Can you please revert your changes to the recent EA App update, that no longer happily coexists with Origin and breaks user experience for, gee, the new games it was made exclusive for, as well as games that Origin can play perfectly well for, golly, 99% of the people?
That is my question. Can someone take this in stride, recognize a chain of bad decisions for what it is, and work some more on what is obviously poorly written beta software (and this is my kindest description) before alienating further your customers who still have to use your services for legacy games.
My future business? That was lost years ago. I do buy your best titles on discount from key resellers though, so thank your many developers for their fine work.
(Yes, I am fully aware this is a "Community Forum" and that no one from EA actually actively participates or cares about anything other than that sweet shareholder profit. All of you in this community are welcome to point out flaws in my argument, ignore the post, report it, whatever. You might even agree. But that would maybe break the format of this place... no chance a design decision there lol)
I used to get so excited seeing the EA logo pop up. The gamers want to play your games, help them.
