Need to re-Add downloaded and purchased game to EA App

I recently had my computer hard drive replaced and had to redownload the EA App. However before this, I had purchased and downloaded a couple games to an external drive. I've been able to figure out how to link one of my games back up with the app, but the other I can't. The app insists that I have to redownload the game even though I point its download path to the exact location the game was downloaded into on the external drive.

I know what the issue here is though. The first game I was able to get the app to recognize was ye olde Battlefield 1942 which is just over 1 GB large. The other is SW Battlefront II which is 90 GBs. This would not be an issue except that the app does a check on how much space I have in the hard drive and the hard drive it's installed on is nearly full with only about 40 GBs left. As a result, the option to simply have it download anyway is greyed out so I can't get the app to recognize the game is installed. I've tried to run the game directly through the file browser but I get an error. I'm not going to delete and then re-download the game just to appease the app.

I think the app definitely needs to have a "check for games" option where we can help lead the app to where a game has already been installed and then just double check to make sure that, yes, we own the game in our collection.
