Option to invite a friend without overlay!?
I don't use origin or EA app in-game overlay. Sometimes it makes problems with game's performance. In Origin there was an option to invite a friend, without overlay -> minimize game, open Origin win...

I would like to invite friends to games for ME3. You can only invite them if you are in a game lobby using the invite button in the game. Invite-to-game while playing a game used to work in Origin, but that feature is not in the EA app. So the only option now is to invite-to-lobby using the invite button in the game.
It's the norm today. Agile teams deliver the minimum viable product, which has bugs and lacks useful/previous features. And they never come back later to fix the bugs or add the features.
So the EA app is useless. I'm not going to use it for text chat while playing games; I would use voice chat instead. I stopped adding friends. I just play with whatever random players come along.
