Poor experience so far with new EA App

I didn't like the way the app was forced on us. I've found certain settings aren't being maintained after logging out, like monitor refresh rate.
I've reloaded BF4, but can't get sound to work on it, never had this issue before.
Also, a Medal of Honor game was missing from my library (not sure I'd miss it as I could never get it to open!)
This makes me remember why I never buy EA games anymore!
