It's really sad, and infuriating, but unfortunately there is actually nothing we can do about it..
EA has decided to force everyone over. Even if EA App is a an April Fool's joke-sad excuse of a game launcher. They don't care.
The absolute state of this EA app monstrosity is truly obscene.
How many more replies from EA representatives are we going to see, that say "you have no choice".
They have the NERVE to tell us it's all problems on OUR END. It's a god damn joke.
"clear cache", "repair the game", literally "turn it off and on again".
ugh. vile.

It's a totally (removed) situation.
I enjoy a Game that I have played for decades, namely Command & Conquer, and bought the updated Remastered version so it would run on Windows 10.
All fine, no problems, albeit I had absolutely no need to login to use it, but the Game came lumbered with the Origin add-on nause.
Then they decided I needed a new thing, the EA App, just to access the same Game.
That didn't work, and refused to install.
I had to waste time finding a workaround just to keep the Origin Login working.
Then they broke that, forcing me yet again to use the EA App, which still refused to Install.
So, I'm stuffed.
I cannot access the above, no matter what.
I'm no spring chicken, have used Computers for decades, and still have a room full of them. I know what works, and everything I have works, but not this awful EA App.It's been like going back to the dark old days when Software was buggy and problematic, made worse by a Company who has not a clue what they are doing, and are too arrogant to even care.
Indeed, I am now convinced a rival has bought EA, and simply wants people not to use EA Games, so their own products sell more.
Hard to think of another reason that makes better sense.
