this is also happening to me. it’s upsetting at this point ☹️. sometimes I only get to connect to wifi once a week. pls update if you find a fix or the problem resolves. 

Sorry, but no. I'm sure most of us keep getting the "an error of an unresolvable nature has occurred" too after about 15 min. Currently, "offline mode" is a lie.

It's not an error, or a bug, if it's happening to nearly everyone. It's a design feature, which I can't even say is bad design, given that it's probably doing exactly what EA wants, while being rooted in a misguided company policy of loving DRMs.

DRMs do nothing to stop misuse of software, it's just, plain and simple, a hostile approach to the actual customers. Very unfortunate company mindset.

That's a terrible solution and entirely misses the point of having an offline mode. People make big assumptions about what kind of internet and mobile access people have these days. I live in a rural area and the internet is frequently spotty (which is ironic given if you cross into the next county, you have literally THE BEST internet in the country), so asking me to have internet every time I start the app is a slap to the face. I am fortunate to have a smart phone that I can turn into a hotspot for like... 5 seconds, but what if I didn't have that?

@EA_Darko Stop it. You know this doesn't work and you know people want to be able to LAUNCH the games they paid good money for offline. Not everyone has access to the internet 24/7, not everyone wants to sign in literally every single time they want to play their game! Give us an actual solution or more and more people are just going to pirate games in order to be able to access them offline  (REMINDER, THESE ARE GAMES PEOPLE PAY ACTUAL REAL LIFE MONEY FOR!).

Having same issue. I have a steam deck with windows 10 with EAFC24 installed via steam.

steam is in offline mode, but can’t launch EAFC24 because it tied to EA app. I did the steps you outlined last week and now it won’t work.

Setting the app to "offline" is only marginally successful. I had a few spare minutes so I thought I would play a little but instead I had to spend the time connecting to the internet and resetting my password so I can play offline. I thought it was fixed a while back but today proved me wrong. This has been asked before but here it is again: WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO GO ONLINE TO TELL THE SYSTEM WE WANT TO PLAY OFFLINE? It makes zero sense and Origin did not require it. I should be able to start my computer and play anything I have installed any time I want without going online...ever. The only thing Origin did that was inconvenient was push an update on the rare occasion I did connect to the internet. The EA app is about as far from consumer friendly as it can be.

Having this same issue right now. My Internet region is under maintenance and I can't play any of my games offline because this ludicrous EA app requires to be online to access the offline mode. Whose brilliant design was this? Hundreds of dollars spent on your games and I can't access them when I want to? Unbelievable.

Agreed. For single player games it does seem pointless, and the implementation well, you said it!

You keep telling everyone we can switch to “offline” while online. The whole point is we don’t have internet access to be online and go offline every single time we open the app. Also, not everyone’s cpu has WiFi capabilities to use a hotspot. This was never an issue with the Origin app! So we need internet and/or hotspot capabilities to play the games we paid for on the EA app? Im sorry but your suggestion fixes nothing.

This doesn't work. I don't keep my PC on 24/7, I turn it off when I go to bed at night and whenever I leave the house. If I wake up in the morning and the internet is out, I turn on my PC and I can't play any EA games. Most of the time the EA app won't start when internet is out, sometimes it just says it can't connect or something, and no games will launch.

that's... not helpful. the whole point is WE DO NOT HAVE INTERNET. i paid for this game, why should i not be able to play it whenever i want?

why has this issue still not been fixed? users should not need to log online to be able to play offline games. This was not the case with Origin. This has been an issue for over a year. PLEASE do something!

i also have this promblem and i love to play sims but i dont have internet at home or mobile hotspot to connect and even though i put EA into offline mode if i close the app or reboot my laptop i need internet again to play

That is actually exactly the problem... If you don't have internet to get online to set it to offline mode, then what? This didn't used to be an issue with Origin app. 

Same I need offline mode to work also, it sometimes doesn and sometimes does not.

It’s now two years later and here I am looking for a fix, can’t use my hotspot, but happily I was able to play until I accidentally hit my windows key and froze the game (that always happens now where it didn’t do that before), anyway, apparently now I am signed out of the EA app because of that, and can no longer play my games. I don’t have access to internet so how am I supposed to sign in to play off line?? This is more than ridiculous, and I never had that problem with origin, it wasn’t great, but far more useful to me than the ea app. This needs to be fixed, plus these are games I purchased to play when I am without internet, which I guess means never at this point. 

Same boat. I have sims to play offline. Never had an issue with origin. Played quite frequently offline. I expected there to be a fix by now. I’m extremely frustrated. 

EA_Darko​, I have been planning on buying the new F1 gam, but with how work is right now, i will be off the grid mostly, so no internet, is there any way to permanently keep the EA app on offline mode, even when i turn the pc off and on???
