Unlinked steam account still shows as linked.

So, I unlinked my steam account but still in the EA app show that my accounts are linked! This is a problem for sims 4 because of this problem I can’t repair my game and can’t start the game via EA app anymore. Yesterday it showed the standard version, now it shows this version(StillActive), with a unlinked steam account.

I had the standard version on origin. I purchased the digital deluxe version on steam. A support member helped me that it shows short the normal version but now its again the steam version which I have unliked  So, I can’t repair the game I can’t start it because ... the account which is linked is an old steam account which I unlinked.

Edit: I switched to Origin, and I can start and repair the game on origin. But now EA App is completely useless for me as long the unlink function does not work correct because the game only recognizes the steam version, on an EA account which doesn’t have a steam-id connected anymore.

Edit2: I purchased the digital edition again on ea. So, I own the version without steam, but your client doesn’t recognize that because unlink is somehow still linked and recognize only the steam version.

    Hey @daikoyu for account issues such as this you will need to speak with one of our phone or chat support advisers who will be able to advise you further. 

    You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.  

    To  speak with a phone or chat adviser:

    Click on your product Origin

    Then select 'PC

    Manage my Account'

    Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or call

    I connected your support twice.

    The first time they added back the standard edition which worked so long as the game was not installed after this,  I got the same issue.

    The support member removed steam complete again, which never worked.

    So, you say I need to go to a support member request help there and get again a wrong result because your system is still hidden linked to my inactive steam account?

    As I understand this now: Should EA APP replace Origin complete I will lose my complete account because there are still linked, and the EA App requested a login from a steam account which is not possible.

    So, I have two options: Each Sims4 Update I need to talk with you support that they add again the standard version, so I can update and play sims again via start icon or I abandoned your service as soon origin replace the EA app complete. This are both not really options, and this get very frustrated because this issue is only there on EA app because you deny me the standard version and I have automatic the abandoned steam version in my library since yesterday.

    The simple solution would be just making it possible to have the standard version and The Steam Version on my library. So, it handled Origin, why can’t EA App handle it so? Really, I understand why your customer get frustrated

    I will try again to contact your america support because the german support I got are only Indian guys which doesn’t understand the problem and just copy paste from your FAQ.

    I am right and is EA fault. Your unlocked account function doesn’t work right and player which unlink steam accounts will still be linked. Because EA APP has only ONE Version, they grab the steam version which does not get removed via unlinks account.

    The last was a support member can doo is to add the normal version but after you installed the game you game will labeled as DE Steam Version on your EA APP, and you need to start the game via sims4 shortcut, and it will be not possible to repair your game as long it is installed.

    So, my only solution is here to quit EA games after you make the big change to EA App because I am sure it will be not fixed, self your EA background service is not fixed! Which you literally spy on your clients! All other people I recommend never unlink you steam account, not as long they don’t fix this issue and never contact EA support if you have really something wrong with your account (special not as EU-Member, they will not help you with this)
