EA App just won't connect?

Can anyone tell me why this has been happening for 3 days? I can't play any of my games!

    he means are you connected to a router, a modem, a hotspot?

      Oh, ok. i just assumed everyone is hardwired like me. Ethernet straight to my desktop.

        To check do you have any security on your modem that might block internet traffic?

        If not can you try the step @kittyj49 mentioned?
