I can't say anything about if and when this feature will be added, although I would be really surprised if it would not be added.

In the meantime you can use the Windows task scheduler to start EA Desktop at system startup.

Windows key + R

type: shell:startup (Enter)

Drag the EA app shortcut into the folder.

@snapczterzYou can do this way easier, just do follow these steps :

Windows key + R
type: shell😕tartup (press enter)
drag the EA app shortcut into the newly opened folder.

That's all, and to stop it from auto starting when Windows starts just remove the shortcut from that folder
