Hello, I have the same problem. I linked my Microsoft account with Game Pass to my EA account to get EA Play. I tried the BF2042 trial and bought the game afterwards. Now my Game Pass is expired and the EA app wants me to log in to my Microsoft Account every time the EA app starts and I click on play or update on ANY game, not only BF2042. It also doesn't matter if I click on "remember login" in the MS login screen. Attached screenshot show the procedure.
@stillcr4nk@EA_LeeuwI have the same. I used Xbox gamepass Ultimate with EA play to get early access to 2042 which gave me the Utlimate edition as a trial. I then purchased the standard edition game through origin but the trial seemed to still be registered as a separate game somewhere within my account. I know this because when updating the standard edition it would say updating trial edition
I recently installed EA App which uninstalled Origin and now when I launch the game it asks for microsoft account login. When I select cancel twice it loads the game but it is a bit clunky to have to do that every time
Yup same thing is happening to me.
EA phone support literally told me to just resubscribe to Game Pass to play a game I already fully own. Pretty ridiculous.
