Same issue as @UberNorman with same setup
Wanted to try out SW: Squadrons, but I guess I'll stick to Steam instead.
The only thing I can think of... I'm using a different Xbox Live account than my Microsoft Store account.
My suspicion is that Microsoft doesn't know how to handle such a situation and this just doesn't work.
@UberNorman is that the case for you too?
My brother had the same issue, with different xbox live and microsoft store accounts too. I think opening EA desktop through the Xbox app might have done the trick.
@Lime_Dawn Thanks Pal - that sorted the problem for me. Just had to kill EA Desktop in the taskbar overflow and relaunch from the xbox app.
This worked for me.
I uninstalled the EA Play Beta and then reinstalled from the XBox app, everything was fine after that.
