EA Desktop doesn't obey Windows Refresh Rate

Hey guys, 

Logged on this morning as XBOX Game Pass free EA Access has been launched. However, my display is set to 240Hz through Windows Display driver. Works in every UI in Windows, Xbox App e.t.c however when you switch to the EA desktop app (alt-tab, click e.t.c) the refresh rate seems to go back to something approximating 60FPS and everything is juddery. When you switch back to another app in foreground everything goes back to native refresh but with the EA Desktop app ontop and moving the mouse outside of the window the same lower refresh rate can be observed. This doesn't even happen in Origin.

All NVIDIA drivers are up to date, latest Windows Update installed.
