I'm still using Origin
I'm still using Origin as it still works for me. I've heard so many bad things about players being unable to play their legally purchased games on the new EA app. So much in fact that I don't want to...
@virtualbalboa_gg I believe they are mostly the price we pay for DRM content, or so they would say.
I am sorry you can't even access your games. Maybe there is some small chance they will fix some of these issues once a new version of the app comes out... or break it even more. Either way, being locked out of the games you already paid for and not being able to do anything about it is certainly not an incentive to buy more of their games.
What really sucks is that I was just accepted into the upcoming Skate beta starting May 9th. But if I can't install the EA Desktop App, I can't play it.
Also, even if EA does decide the PC side of their business is worthy and they repair the app, who's to say they won't break it even further down the road?
Heck, I can see a world where a new version gets pushed out in the background and anybody running a VPN during this hidden update gets their EA account banned for months. If people can't even install the app in the first place, this scenario doesn't seem too far off.
From now on I think the only EA games I'll play will be the free games. Why would I give money to a company that is actively hostile to me?
