Is my friends game status information still available to access via the EA App?

In Origin I could see whether my friends were in the in the menus, in a squad(and if there were full or not) or playing on a map/game mode, in battlefield games. Now when I view my friends on the EA App it just says what game they're playing. Is there a way to view the more detailed game info?

I tried searching the FAQ but I could not see a reference.
