Is there a way to force the EA app open in offline mode?

Hello I want to ask if theres an update to the offline mode feature in EA app on PC?? because it wont let me play Mirrors edge catalyst when theres no internet access but when i try to connect it to the internet the app lets me play the game ofc. just like previous methods the only way i can play my games offline is I start in online mode first and when im inside the game i can safely turn off my internet... This is counterproductive. I want to play my games offline from the get go and its a legit copy since i bought it off from Steam. I hope theres a timeframe for when the EA app allows offline from the start

I'm frustrated as well, seeing the threads after thread and also reddit included. I haven't been able to find any fix and I really hope this * is fixed, I'd rather use Origin instead of this stupid application. All I have is Steam games and some minecraft, cause' I won't be able to play my game in this EA app.

I really hope they fix this, immediately.

After being forced to download the EA app in order to play Sims 3(a game which predates even Origin) I logged in, closed the app and tried to load the app without internet. One failed attempt, resulted in the app telling me to log in online first with "keep me logged in" checked. Funny since I had already checked this on my first log in. Still I tried logging in, logging back out, ensuring the box was checked and logging in online once more before finally closing the app, turning on airplane mode and successfully logging in WITHOUT internet.

It would have saved us all a lot of stress however if someone from EA had come to this thread to let us know we could in fact do this. I was quite honestly set to boycott any future EA purchases over this. After all, I shouldn't pay for offline games which I cannot actually play offline. Requiring any kind of secondary program or launcher for an offline game is irritating enough.

Glad that it is up and running offline now however and wanted to stop by to let others know since I was clearly not the only one stressing over this. It will load offline, you simply may need to log in and out online a few times first with the "keep me logged in" box checked.

Also would love to have a start in offline mode, don't mind logging in initially but I use a mobile gaming PC "Steam Deck" to play games on the go and most the time I have no Wifi connection that prevents me from playing EA games at all due to now being forced to log in every time despite an offline mode being there after log in

Maybe something like steam's offline mode that lets you do most stuff just not online stuff

Once in offline mode restarting the app remains in offline mode until you tell it otherwise, that you would do to buy more games or update your trophy records to your account that still record while in offline mode

Please fix this it's stopping me from playing alot of games at the moment

I've been having the same problem but when i try to switch to origin it automatically forces me to use/ update the EA app so I can't play offline

They previously stated there was an offline mode, not that you could log in offline. I am saying that I have found both options to be functioning in my case, hopefully in others. Offline mode is limited and only gives you access to games that can be played in offline mode and literally nothing else, but it is present. As I stated in my previous post, selecting "keep me logged in" on the sign in screen allows you to log in offline, but you may have to log in and out a few times before it works.

When will ea app fix fifa 23 to be played in offline mode because I don't have a wifi connection at home

We just had a terrible storm in our neighborhood, and while our power is back on the Internet is not. I can turn my computer on and I can play a number of games that are on my hard drive, but because I was forced to change to the EA app from Origins I can now no longer play games offline because I can't log online to EA app to get them. This is absolutely absurd. I will stop using EA Games apps at all if this is the only way you're going to do business.

You really should correct this issue. Bought the game through steam which has offline mode and shouldn't even need the EA app to begin with because it's already a secured purchase. Second, I'll complain to the FCC, Congress and send a not to the White House and they usually follow up. There's no reason to block legally purchased content at any time period.
