I have The Sims 4 in my account and my girlfriend play in my account, but i want to play TS4 and other games in the same time that she is playing TS4 in other computer...Theres a way to open the ea app always in offline mode?

I would like to confirm that the EA app will not open when there is no wifi. I’m currently without wifi and cannot get it or my sims 4 game to run.Yesterday I switched from origin to EA before going on a trip. I would not have done so if I knew this was going to be an issue.EA should be explicit in the limitations of its app before forcing it on players, who a) don’t normally play games that require to be online to function b) literally PAID for a game they now cannot play despite the fact that it does not require wifi to function

This exactly. This needs to be fixed. We should not, after 20 years of playing the sims, suddenly have to have internet connection merely to log into the app in order to load a game that doesn't require internet connection to play. This is BS and needs attention now, especially after we were forced out of Origin where we could log into Origin app even while not connected to the internet. When I installed the EA app, the Origin app was automatically removed from my computer and I try to redownload the Origin app, it takes me directly to the EA app download. It is unacceptable for EA to take away access to a game that people have been playing and putting money into for 20 years!!

Watching this thread because I absolutely refuse to switch over to the EA app until this is fully fixed. I should not be locked out of playing an OFFLINE game I paid hundreds of dollars(counting packs and kits) into simply because I have no internet.While I do have internet at home, it will go out sometimes or I may not be at home. I also share my account with my mother as we are one household and have both contributed to our sims collection, so we cannot both be logged in online at one time. Unfortunately she has already switched her computer over to EA at this time. Fortunately I am still on Origin.Being able to switch to offline mode once logged in is only half the battle. We absolutely MUST have a way to log in offline as well. Otherwise EA is just ripping us all off.

It truly is so frustrating, I also share my account with a sibling and yesterday Origin literally FORCED me to download the EA app, otherwise I couldn't play the Sims. Now in order to play we have to quite literally wait for the other to be done and take turns when we both have our own PC's. Extremely frustrating and I was hoping for a bit more from EA. I was really excited for all the new content for the Sims, but quite frankly I'm not even sure if I'll be getting the new packs when I'm not even sure if I can play them properly.

We just had a terrible storm in our neighborhood, and while our power is back on the Internet is not. I can turn my computer on and I can play a number of games that are on my hard drive, but because I was forced to change to the EA app from Origins I can now no longer play games offline because I can't log online to EA app to get them. This is absolutely absurd. I will stop using EA Games apps at all if this is the only way you're going to do business.

Is there a way to force the EA app open in offline mode?

I’m just adding this comment to fuel the outrage and hoping that it will be noticed and something be done about it because I have also had this same problem trying to launch Mass Effect Legendary Edition offline and have found that it’s because of the EA app needing to always be online to launch. This is absolutely unacceptable to require this from a game that I own and have paid for.

How can your freaking app be forced to be online? This is bs!
When going in offline mode it just "crashes" after some time and tells you to restart the app because it's offline right now. Of course it is! Because I wanted it to be! No other choices as to restart the app and again go into offline mode. Just look at the picture I added. For those who can't read german it says: "Connection is temporary interrupted. You're offline at the moment. Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you (this could take a moment)." And the button says "Restart App".
Who developed this garbage?

@EA_Leeuw Unfortunately, while EA App CLAIMS to support Offline Mode, you have to have internet in the first place to log in to access the games.
THIS NEEDS FIXED!
Sorry for the caps, but this was the ORIGINAL ISSUE witht he EA Beta App, and it was never fixed.
My Sims 4 has every DLC through the forced change to the EA App, but neither me nor my kids can play it unless the computer is connected tot he internet to log into the EA platform.

Same Problem. Why do I have to go online to tell the app to go offline? That was never the case with Origin and why should it? The game (Sims 3) is installed on my pc and doesn´t need to be played online.
And why is the EA app throwing such a hissy fit if told to go offline. "Can´t reach the servers", yes, because you are OFFLINE. "Major error", no, again, OFFLINE.
I refuse to be forced by EA to go online against my will, anyway, what about people who just can´t? Just dont´play the game we payed for? No.

So the EA app minimized my game two times in a row to whine about not being online. Luckily it didn´t crash, but the Sims 3 suddenly collapsing to the desktop is really not good for my nerves. Make it stop please.

I was able to play in offline mode, but the frustrating thing is that when I choose to put EA app in offline mode it keeps trying to constantly log me in. So after 2-3 hours of offline play EA app will force itself closed saying there was a problem and I have to sign in again which is really frustrating because then I'm forced to close out of my game and reopen EA app just to login and then go into offline mode again. I've even tried to uncheck the keep me logged in button but the app will still try to force me to login even when I'm choosing to be in offline mode, I've never seen such a stupid thing on an app before.

Ayup - no internet so figured I'd fire up DAO and the stupid app won't let it load. Tried several ways to launch the game without the app but whatever EA did to force it through their wrapper prevents this from happening. I don't think anyone at EA has ever played a game before.
This thread says solved but it really isn't - has EA ever come back with a response on this topic or posted a road map of when it will or ... ? Where's a customer satisfaction survey when you need one.

@xoLunaLove It seems it hasn’t been addressed yet. We keep being told they will pass the message on. But still when my wifi is down I cannot log onto my EA account to go on offline mode which blocks me from opening my games at all.

I also need to be able to play without going online first. Huge issue. Feels like the EA app is still in beta since it's missing so many features that Origin had.

You have to go ONLINE first to play OFFLINE via this app. This is asinine. I travel quite a bit and I'm not paying the airline for wifi in order to play a game on a flight where I am required to use Airplane mode.
Exceptionally poor planning and design, not to mention exclusionary and disenfranchising, EA.
