Link2ea error pop up

Last week i was just playing jedi survivor. The next day i played a different game before trying to startup survivor again. Since then ive been unable to play because of a blank error message that just says Link2ea and nothing else. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, but it hasnt worked. Might be important to know i play through steam. Ive tried playing straight from the ea app, but that didnt work either. What can i do to continue playing Jedi survivor?

    Hi @487f0fd58b9a55b4

Apologies for the delay on this! If you're still having troubles can you please attach a screenshot of this error to your post for me?

  • A couple days ago i used revo uninstaller and deleted the Electronic Arts folder that remained after uninstalling the ea app. Then i booted up the game and let the ea app reinstall itself, the game suddenly worked. I thought i fixed it permanently, but after trying to start the game up again a day later, the same issue presented itself. I tried the same thing i did the day before, but it didnt work.

  • The correct account is linked. Ive changed my steam email to the same one i use in my ea account. I was using two separate emails. It doesnt seem to have changed anything. I also cant just open the ea app. I sometimes get a blank error, like the one in the screenshot, but saying EADesktop instead.

Thanks for those details, let's give these steps a try for the EA app:

    • Open task manager, locate EA Background Service, and end task
    • Clear the cache for the EA app
    • Run the EA app as an administrator
    • Check for any background applications blocking the EA App
    • Try lowering your User Access Control Settings:
      • Close the EA app
      • Click the Windows button and type "UAC" in the search field
      • In the User Access Control window, click and hold the slide bar —slide it to the lowest setting available
      • Click Okay the bottom of the window
      • Open the EA app client and try starting the download again
    • Uninstall and reinstall the EA app
  • Ive tried all of those options, even adding the app as an exception in Windows Defender. I dont know if any background processes are intervening. Ill add some screenshots of everything thats running in the background, i dont think ive opened any apps that caused these to be running. Do you know if any of these can cause trouble with the EA App and which ones i should close?
