Re: Slow Download Speeds on EA app

I don't know why it is so hard to listen to what people are saying for EA community managers because the problem doesn't have anything to do with our PC's at all. Ever since the app fully launched I have been having issues with downloading games on your platform. Even if we talk about 200MB's of data. I have tried everything on your lists, nothing works. All my drivers are up to date, my router is up to date and works fine. And I get over 20MB/s on steam and other platforms. So I don't know what happened during the launch of your "amazing" app but my advice is. Get it fixed or get Origin back online since that platform actually worked as intended.

EA App through Wine need a clean boot... probably twice...

I would really appreciate some constructive and on-earth feedback instead of

FYI: tried differend DNS, tried CloudFront 1.1.1.1 DNS's, tried to go IPv6 only - same results.

I don't get it why Origin downloaded the same stuff @ full bandwidth of my link but EA won't.

Hey @inoperable are you using Wine through Linux?

If so then I'm sorry to say but if you see issues when using an unsupported OS or programs then there is nothing we can do to assist.

Hey @Destiny_Is_Awake are you still seeing an issue, testing this right now and I am not seeing any issues with speeds and full game downloads taking a short time.

Just to update, download took under 3 minutes. If you are still seeing issues please try the troubleshooting in this thread.

I don't understand how the network download performance of content relates to that, but, I got the same results in windows as well.

I wanted to ask one thing, why do the EA APP need my Windows EABackgroundService.exe service installed and constantly running

when I don't use the EA App and what I this service exactly providing?

Exactly the same here !!! Except it's for F1 22.  I've been downloading a 1GB update for the last 45 minutes. Works crazy well

trying to update fifa 23 and im stuck on 0.00 bytes per second, its only this game that is this slow. Yes I tried the cache things and my internet/network is not the problen

why are you the only one out of all these people that it works for? it is allot of people and even more have looked at this forum without typing so im telling you the same thing, its the EA app that is the issue, i have 1000/1000 mpbs speed and i download every game in no time with other applications like steam or origin, why is it taking me 3.5 hours downloading battlefield in EA APP?? everything on my pc is up to date and ive never had this issue before.... Fix ur EA app witch is 2 year old and apperently out of beta? ok dud
