Single player online

Hello and glad to be talking to you and thank you for reading my post. Now I have an simple question

 Why can't I play my single player dragon age inquisition game offline? 

In order to play dragon age inquisition I have to turn on my mobile hot spot, fiddle with the ea app for ten minutes to an hour just to get it to play an offline game, that functions normally once there is no online presence. 

And in order to use the app in offline mode, I have to log into the app while online, and hit offline mode. So the app does have an offline mode, but every time I try to use the app to play the game I paid for it gives me a retry error.

If there is a way to set it to offline mode permanently I am all ears. Since I only use the ea app to play that one offline singleplayer game

    There are other threads about this very question, from a long time back.

    Short answer (as I understand it and it seems pretty obvious by now after all this time), they won't ever "fix" that, because they want it like that. Why I don't know, one can speculate probably data collection and / or some clueless CEO's idea of anti-piracy measures.

    The old Origin app (on PC), was almost as stupid in that it had to be online to go offline, but at least it would start offline again the next time if there were still no net connection.

    Not so with EA App.
