Uninstalling Origin Client after downloading EA App

Hi guys,

I have had the EA App for quite some time now while it was in its Beta state. Now that it is officially out of Beta I want to start using the EA App only and delete Origin from my PC. Can I simply delete Origin from my PC and continue to use the EA App without any problems? Is it safe to do that? Because I don't see anything to help me with that and I wasn't able to contact EA Help. Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Mata25

  • EA app should just take over where you left off with Origin, with saves and installed games. @mata25,

  • Doesnt the EA App over write the Origin install, if you try to open Origin via it's shortcut it usually brings up the box it cant find the program if it does you can just delete the shortcut

I installed the EA App while it was still in Beta. So it did not overwrite Origin. What I want to know is how do I transition to the EA App fully, now that it is out of Beta. Do I just delete Origin? I don't know if it's safe to do that, because what if my game data gets corupted or deleted in the process. That is why I am seeking help from someone who had the same issue. Because I of course didn't get the right answer from EA Help.
