Why am I getting forced to install EA App?
every time i open origin it softlocks me into a window that suggests to install ea app. now i thought okay its forcing me to install this must be a good reason but no. i log in with the right account...

This did work for me for a while, but as of this afternoon, it appears EA has found a way to circumvent this solution.
I am really annoyed, like most people here. We pay hundreds of dollars and they force a crap launcher onto us that refuses to update my games. Thanks a lot EA.
Same. Editing the local file worked for a few weeks for me, but now I'm back to the EA pop-up. It's incredibly frustrating since I've been building a world and Create a World doesn't work with the EA app. EAHelp on Twitter seems to reply to everyone, but I haven't seen much from them about The Sims 3 problems.
