RESOLVED Outage May 22nd, 2024. "Games have been removed from your library" Message in EA app
Hi all,
We are seeing RECOVERY of the temporary problem which started on May 22nd at 8 am UTC, which was unintentionally impacting some users, causing them to see the message *"Games have been removed from your library" or *"You don't have access" error on the EA app more frequently than expected.
Recent reports in this forum thread seem to confirm this trend. Thank you for reporting this to us!
If you continue to experience the issue, please perform an EA app App Recovery (clear cache) by following the steps here, or reboot the client or machine.
*It's important to understand that both scenarios can also be triggered by valid, non-temporary reasons. For further details on these, please refer to the following links:
For the message "Games have been removed from your library" in the EA app, clickhere.
For the error "You don't have access" in the EA app, clickhere.
One of my Games has been Removed from my list, the App says my EA play membership has Ended. i never had EA play and the game was Bought and Gifted to me, How do I Fix this Problem?
Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below).
We want to assure you that this feature is functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal.
These reasons may include, but are not limited to:
Expiration of an EA Play membership,
Sunset of games due to discontinued online services,
Removal of games due to fraudulent activities,
And more.
Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it.
If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as:
The game no longer being available in EA Play,
Sunset of the game,
Payment issues,
Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this),
Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent,
Billing issues,
Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app).
We hope this information clears up any confusion you may have.
If you're still unsure why certain items were removed from your account, please don't hesitate to contact our Support team via EA Help by following https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help. They'll help explain why those items got removed or tackle any other problems you're dealing with.
@EA_Leeuw It is definitely not working as intended. I never rented any game or bought EA Play and never will subscribe to subscription based games services. I bought the games on Steam. The games that was removed from my library isn't even listed on the "Sunset Games Lists" or "The Play List Removals".
I bought Need for Speed Rivals and Need for Speed (2015) together along with other EA Games as a bundle and those games are still in my EA App library and Steam so I don't know what fraudulent activities you are referring to. I have never even played the game Need for Speed Rivals and only have 1 min playtime on my Steam Account trying to fix the issue and the game is still in my Steam Library but I can't play it because the stupid EA App says I don't own the game.
It's been more than a month and and there is still no resolution in sight. This needs to be fix asap. It is a scam removing games from the library that I paid for.
Hello, in the EA Play application, all of the games I have previously purchased through the application have been removed from my library today, removed with their DLCs, I can't see any of them, what do I need to do to solve it, can you help me?
