can't load sims
ever since the new update i haven't been able to load the ea app without using data OR even load the sims game at all. I have tried absolutely everything they've suggested and nothing's helped

This issue is widespread and it has occurred since the latest pack/patch release - so there may be a few duplicate topics in this ea app forum related to the sims and the ea app.
cbannister11 This won't delete your saves. They'll be in the same location they always have been. You won't be able to access them from the new account unless you move them over, which you can do IF the game works in the new account. But please first test with nothing moved over at all.
will this take away my saves tho
cbannister11 Then uninstall the EA App, create a new admin user account on your Mac, reinstall the App there, and see whether it loads properly. With the new user account, don't link it to your Apple ID (you can skip that step), and don't import any settings from your old account. You can sign into your existing EA account; there's no need to make a new one.
If this doesn't help either, let me know whether you use a third-party antivirus or some kind of cleaner app.
yeah didn't work
cbannister11 Trash the EA App and download a new copy. When trying to open it, right-click it and select Open. This gives added permissions.
itssvee It looks like you've installed Sims 4 somewhere iCloud Drive is syncing. That could be the problem here. Please uninstall the game and reinstall it to the default location:
[Macintosh HD]/Applications/EA Games
You may or may not see the Macintosh HD part; if the file path starts with /Applications, it's correct.

no it doesn't work at all
same i haven't been able to load in at all since updating my mac, i have done everything suggested by ea themselves
ugh same, ive been cleared the cache, restarted my Mac, re download it for the 7th time and nothing seems to be working
