Any Fixes?
I read all the forum messages about this issue from 3 years ago and tried all their solutions. I sent in a ticket to EA Games. I cleared the cache, restarted everything, went into the EA Games folder in my program files, tried running as administrator, tried everything else people mentioned. I forced a game update, an app update, and all produced no results. What is the point of having a game you can't open? I never had this problem before the app. Yes, my new laptop meets and exceeds all requirements. Running Windows 11. What else can I do? And if the error is on EA Games end, why can't they fix it? Hello, I’m reaching out because I’ve been unable to launch The Sims 4 for the past 3 days. Each time I try to start the game through the EA App, it briefly attempts to launch but then immediately returns me to the EA App without any error message. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the issue and the steps I’ve already taken: Problem: Clicking “Play” in the EA App starts the launch process The game does not open After a few seconds, the EA App reappears as if nothing happened Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried: Removed all mods and custom content (clean “Mods” folder) Cleared cache for both EA App and The Sims 4 Reinstalled the EA App completely Reinstalled The Sims 4 Launched both EA App and the game as administrator Verified game files (if applicable) Restarted my computer multiple times Despite all of this, the issue persists exactly the same way. Additional info: The game was previously working without issues No recent major system changes (aside from standard updates) No visible error codes or messages appear At this point, I’m honestly stuck and would really appreciate guidance on what could be causing this or what else I can try. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, AnneStatus is set to 'Online' instead of 'In-game' when launching a game on EA App
Hello everyone, Since last night, I have been going through an issue with EA App not being able to recognize status while running any game. Which means, my status is set to 'Online', instead of switching to 'In-game'. I have tried every possible workaround to get it working, such as: clearing app cache logging out and back in repaired my games refreshed the app None of the above methods I tried works. This issue took place with other statuses as well, other than 'Online'. For example, manually switching status to 'Away' while launching any game. I am not sure if it's network connection related. However, I have a stable network connection. It took place last night, last time I encountered the 'in-game' status was a few days ago. I'm on a Windows 11 64-bit laptop, specs are: 16GB RAM/512GB SSD drive/AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS CPU Any help or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!Ea App Keeps Crashing When Launched
I haven’t been able to open my ea app. Every time I launch it, it sends a pop up saying the app crashed unexpectedly. It gives me the option to restart the app or just exit. I have looked everywhere and tried everything I can think of. I have tried: •Running as Administrator •Unplugging anything connected to my laptop •Uninstalling my laptop •Launches the app with the two boxes saying Run as administrator and disable full screen optimization •Disconnecting from the internet and launching the app •I’ve tried clearing the cache, but when I go to where everyone says you find the cache folder they aren’t there •I also tried opening task manager as administrator and closing all things related to the ea app Anyone else having this problem and have you found a solution?142Views0likes5CommentsBackground Service Crashed
I'm unsure as too what steps to take next, I've spent all day trying to figure out why when I tried to open my EA App it would say "Background Service Crashed". I was just playing last night, and never experiences something like this before. My mac is up to date as of yesterday, I tried the uninstall, reset & install again trick COUNTLESS times, I've made sure all my settings are correct like making sure the EA app is allowed and toggled on in Full Disk access, and much much more. Got help from 2 advisors that weren't actually able to help me at all because the same issue persists. I don't know what steps now to take since I am just a gamer and this is way beyond my knowledge and understanding of technology and the EA App. I'm on my own now hoping someone else can assist. My mac version is Sequoia 15 if that matters, but what am I missing? How should I go about solving this issue? Is this an Apple issue or EA issue?
