Purchased addons not syncing; demanding I pay for them again
I loaded up EA on my new PC. I purchased Spore along with galactic adventures and Creepy and Cute add-ons on my old laptop. In the app on the new one I am able to access only the former 2; Galactic adventures can't run without Creepy and Cute, which is listed in my add-ons but demanding I pay for it again. I have tried uninstalling the games, clearing the cache and program files, restarting the PC and reinstalling: all to no avail. Please advise.EA App not launching on Mac
Hi I just got a problem opening the EA app on my Macbook. Yesterday it was fine, I could open the app and I could play the Sims 4. However, when I have tried to open the EA app today, when I have clicked the app icon, nothing appeared. I have already forced quit the app and restarted my Mac. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app. But it won’t help. My Mac is up to date anyway. Please fix or update it😢. I just wanna play the game. I’m attempting to launch my EA app but keep getting the error message “Background Services crashed” with options to run an update or quit. When i press run update it simply says the app is up to date then quickly exits the screen. I’ve repaired the app, uninstalled and reinstalled, I’ve restarted EA background services & set to automatic but nothing seems to be working.23Views0likes1CommentEA App asking UAC permission at game launch
EA app asks UAC permission/ Admin rights twice every time I need to lauch a game on Windows 11 (even if no update or new content is available... just wanting to launch EA app triggers the request) Specifically, from EALauncher.exe and EADesktop.exe I have set everything connected to EA App and the Sims 4 to run ad admin by default, but for some reason the prompts are still there. It's not possible for me to take screenshots of said issue either. This has happened for a very long time now, but it's starting to get very annoying124Views0likes2CommentsNew Tahoe Mac Update
Recently i updated my mac and i haven’t ran EA in months. So im on break from school and decided to open it to play. For some reason everytime i open/launch the EA app it tells me that there’s a “background service crashed” notification after minutes of the app trying to open. I asked chatgpt how to fix this issue and they gave me every way possible to fix it but no fix. So at the end when nothing worked chatgpt told me there was an issue with the new Mac update and the EA app. So i go around every platform to see if other users are having this issue and i can’t find anything from less than a year ago. I’m very frustrated and just wanted to play sims again but after hours of trying to fix it i can’t open the application AT ALL and now i need some help or at least i want to know im not the only one.18Views0likes0CommentsEA App suddenly stopped opening on Windows 11
Hi everyone, About two days ago, the EA App suddenly stopped opening on my computer without any apparent reason. Until then, I was able to play my games normally, but now, when I try to launch the app, nothing happens — no error message, and the interface doesn’t show up. What I’ve tried so far: Ending all EA-related processes in Task Manager and trying again Adding an exception in the antivirus and even disabling it Running as administrator Changing compatibility settings Running EA App Recovery and EA App Update Submitting a report using EA Error Reporter (I have the ticket ID) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App Rolling back the latest Windows updates Still, the issue remains. Interestingly, the EA App appears as a running process in Task Manager, but the interface never loads. Even when trying to launch a game directly from its shortcut, neither the game nor the EA App starts. Additional info: Windows 11, version 24H2, build 26.100.3624 I work in IT and have technical knowledge, I’ve tried many solutions before reaching out here. No system changes or suspicious installations occurred between the time it was working and when it stopped. I honestly don’t know what else to do. If anyone has faced this issue or knows of a fix, I’d really appreciate your help!2.4KViews19likes32CommentsEA app closes itself/crashes when trying to open
Hi, Things I have tried: Running as administrator Uninstalling the EA app Running the repair tool from the uninstaller Running the 'recovery' tool when it's working (it just stops working again when i try to open it a second time after running it). Description of problem: It takes around 20-50 tries to get the EA app not to crash when I try to open it so I can play Sims 4, or update games, etc. What happens is it starts to open, nothing loads, then it closes. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it looks like it's working and then suddenly closes. I can't predict when it will decide to work or under what conditions because nothing is consistent, but it's really annoying. Please help. :( I've attached a screenshot of how it looks before it crashes because that's all I really have. Every now and then it will say it crashed and ask me to send a crash report but almost every time it just crashes with nothing else. It also crashes when it lets me get into it occasionally and I try to run Sims 4.2.3KViews2likes23Comments
