'Failed to Launch Game: An Error on Our End' for Multiple Games. Any Fixes?
I read all the forum messages about this issue from 3 years ago and tried all their solutions. I sent in a ticket to EA Games. I cleared the cache, restarted everything, went into the EA Games folder in my program files, tried running as administrator, tried everything else people mentioned. I forced a game update, an app update, and all produced no results. What is the point of having a game you can't open? I never had this problem before the app. Yes, my new laptop meets and exceeds all requirements. Running Windows 11. What else can I do? And if the error is on EA Games end, why can't they fix it? Sims 4 has failed to launch for some weeks now. I've uninstalled and redownloaded multiple times, repaired multiple times, as well as moved folders around and nothing seems to have worked. I've attached the error message I get when I try to launch. edited title for visibility. -puzzlezaddict CM title editSolved3.2KViews21likes329CommentsError Code: EC:204 (can't play offline, says "game license has expired")
Whenever EA puts out a game update, I don't update immediately and switch to playing offline for a week or more (depending on how bad it is) while I wait for mods to be updated and for the worst of the new bugs and glitches to be resolved. I've done this since the EA App was released without issue. So the EA App updated shortly before the 7/23 game update and when I went to play offline last night, I discovered I suddenly couldn't. I click on "go offline" and it shows Sims 4 as an installed game, but now when I click play, instead of launching the game offline as usual, I'm getting an error message telling me that the game license has expired and that I need to launch the game to renew the license and gives the Error Code: EC:204. I've never had this issue before. So now I cannot play the game at all as I've seen how lit it is out on the bug report forum and there's no way I'm updating my game right now with all the issues the patch has created. And I can't go "online" with the game without it automatically pushing the update. Is anyone else having this issue with playing offline right now? And is anyone aware of a work around? (Note: I have already logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, cleared the cache, restarted my PC, and ensured by XBox and EA accounts aren't linked (they never were).)5KViews18likes26CommentsAll EA games crash on launch! Can't play any games.
Any game I launch on the EA app will not launch, either through the launcher or the .exe directly. This issue began when I replaced my computer's motherboard for a different model, last month. When launching most games, I immediately get a crash report, which says: Dumping started... Dumping finished. File: C:\ProgramData\eaanticheat\Crashdumps\PACKER_... .dmp Finished. Here is what I've tried so far to fix the problem: Troubleshooting steps for uninstalling/reinstalling/repairing/updating EA Javelin Anticheat outlined on https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/ea-anticheat/ Disabled all non-Microsoft services in msconfig and all startup apps in Task Manager (had to keep EA Background Service enabled to use EA App) Cleared temp files from %Temp%, system scans using "sfc /scannow" and DISM Fully uninstalled the EA App and individual games using Revo Uninstaller (as was suggested by a support agent), restarted computer, and reinstalled the EA App and individual games Checked that my GPU drivers, chipset drivers, and BIOS are all up-to-date Here are my computer's specs: GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X RAM: 64 GB DDR5 6600MHz I don't experience this problem with any of my other game launchers, and because of this I'm currently unable to play any of my purchased games belonging to the EA launcher. Have talked to support a few times now but unfortunately still no solution to this issue. Note: I've tried launching Need for Speed: Unbound, which I don't believe uses EA Anti-Cheat. I don't get a crash report when starting that game, but the game window never opens and the process immediately closes.Solved473Views2likes9Commentssims 4 seasons pack worlds cannot open in my macbook!!!
Hey everyone! I am a new macbook user that recently downloaded sims 4 again with ea app. I had sims 4 and all packs on steam but then when i got macbook i started to add new pacs on ea app for macOs. After i downloaded seasons pack and restarted the game, the worlds for seasons pack do not be shown. I really need a big help here! I cannot get into the worlds i owned. It is shown as "you already have that pack" but does not allow me to get in the worlds! How can i fix it? Thank you,EA App keeps crashing after a few seconds of launching
The EA App keeps crashing after launching. It would open up, load for a few seconds, sometimes getting to the library page, then crashes to the desktop. No error message or anything. The EA Background Service still runs when the application is closed. I have tried reinstalling the app but still produces the same error. All I want is to play Battlefield 1 but this app is giving me a headache. Any solutions are greatly appreciated.129Views1like5CommentsEA app closes itself/crashes when trying to open
Hi, Things I have tried: Running as administrator Uninstalling the EA app Running the repair tool from the uninstaller Running the 'recovery' tool when it's working (it just stops working again when i try to open it a second time after running it). Description of problem: It takes around 20-50 tries to get the EA app not to crash when I try to open it so I can play Sims 4, or update games, etc. What happens is it starts to open, nothing loads, then it closes. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it looks like it's working and then suddenly closes. I can't predict when it will decide to work or under what conditions because nothing is consistent, but it's really annoying. Please help. :( I've attached a screenshot of how it looks before it crashes because that's all I really have. Every now and then it will say it crashed and ask me to send a crash report but almost every time it just crashes with nothing else. It also crashes when it lets me get into it occasionally and I try to run Sims 4.885Views2likes19Comments
