Re: [INFO REQUEST] Error Code: EC:10005 In EA app
Several months ago, upon needing to update the Sims 4, I accepted the download, but it never went past 2% (stating no internet connection), after asking about this and receiving no response :( , my EA App decided it didn't want to play ball either.
I used to receive the same error code every time I tried to open the game. Then it changed, and I was also unable to open the EA App, receiving the same error code (10005). This code states connectivity issues, however this is not the case as I have tried multiple wifi routers, different types of internet connection including multiple phone hotspots. Nothing has worked. We have tried the following trouble shooting:
- clearing the cache
- deleting and redownloading both the sims 4 and the EA App
- restarting computer
- updating computer
- clearing items relating to Sims 4 and EA App from task manager
- And probably any other trouble shooting advice you may have (but we will take any advice)
We have contacted EA Player Help services, and they were unable to fix this issue, however they have recommended we post here about this issue.
