I am getting the error code INST-3-1920

I have tried every solution.

1: repair/ uninstal all C++, didnt work.

2: check that the pc is up to spec, didnt work.

3: try a new instance of EA downloader, didnt work.

4. checked that the PC i updated, it is, but didnt work

please i need help, if you know hov to fix the error, please help

@Superoleg30000  Can you do a search and see if C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs\EABackgroundService.log exists on your PC?

@EA_Shepard no the log dont exist, the only file that are there is the machine.ini

@Superoleg30000 Can you uninstall the App for me, and then run through the following and let me know what happens?

Delete Windows Temp Files

• First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
• Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
• Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
• Delete everything it allows you to delete
• Reboot the PC

Optional Registry clean-up

• install CCleaner (it's free) from here
• Run Registry cleaner
• Click review selected issues
• Do you want to back up? No
• Click Fix all selected issues

Before you reinstall the app, create the EA App install folder manually in the default location, and then install the app as you normally would.

INST-3-1920 - Failed to start Background Service

This error indicates that we successfully installed our game management service, but that it wasn't able to start.

Unfortunately, we're not sure why this happens, the Common troubleshooting steps above may help, but if not please get in touch with us on EA Answers HQ. We'd be particularly interested to know if the following file exists on your PC: C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs\EABackgroundService.log.

As you can see it is limited. Ive seen random things fix it with more technical steps.

Have you made any other changes to your network, or security options within Windows?

This log file doesn't exist, everyone has the Machine.ini file

Same problem here.

What worked for me was:

Unistall EA app,

Registry Clean,

deleting EA folders in ProgramFiles and ProgramData

(you can keep the folder EAGames)

Then restart and try again to install EA app
